I needed to see this. It's been hard to show up for myself lately with an overwhelming work schedule. I can slip I to that all or nothing mindset. Seeing this helps renew my desire to try even if I can only give a few %.
Loved this—and the list on hand is so helpful!! I can’t rely on my recall in moments like that. I admire the birthday month thing. I’m so bad at remembering bdays. Because my weeks are so variable with client appointments and the rest of the family’s schedule, I’ve started looking at my weeks ahead of time to figure out where I have little pockets of time—to rest, to write, read, exercise.
I was just noticing this week how many routines I have now to support my mental and physical health - daily yoga, walking, journaling, and 9:30 bedtimes to name a few.... I love my routines but I sometimes have to check myself that I don't become too routine-bound and squeeze out time for spontaneity 😂

I love these lists! My go to when I'm tempted to scroll at the end of the day: text a friend or read my kindle. I'm curious (maybe a future post?) on your habits around writing, and how you fit it in?
I am also curious how you fit writing in, too!!! Honestly, there is no routine. It’s between clients, while cooking dinner, early in the morning, or voice texting into a note on my phone. I wish I had more set times but right now it is what it is!
